Food Executive Women (FEW) is a Non-profit organization of professional women working in food-related industries. FEW’s main mission is for women involved in the food industry to develop business and social contacts through networking and attending events. Since 1991, FEW has been an organization dedicated to offering women an opportunity to support each other while benefitting individually and universally.
Food is the common thread that weaves together the FEW Community. Members are employed in all areas of the food industry (Sales, Marketing, Research and Development, Food Science, Dietetic and Nutritional, Management, Purchasing, Human Resources, Communications, etc.). FEW members are employed by large and small companies; some members own their businesses, and other members are independent consultants.
FEW meets on average 5 times annually, at various locations throughout Chicagoland; typically during the months of January, March, May, September, and November. Events are designed to facilitate interaction through networking, and may also include presentations by leading industry professionals or immersive food-related demonstrations. Event topics vary and may cover: food industry content, career or personal development.
FEW Events are open to all individuals in the food industry. Becoming a member provides discounted event costs and access to our member directory. Other highlights of the FEW Community include networking with industry peers, newsletter access, LinkedIn connections and insight to industry-specific job postings.
